When you can,
accept your mistakes, own up to them, and admit that you may have been wrong, it is then that it all stays in the past. If and when people try to use your past against you, it shouldn’t be a let down because you know you were strong enough to admit to yourself that you are only human. In most cases, it’s simply trial and error. Although it may take some time, eventually, you will get over it. Sooner or later everyone is going to have to try and make an effort to forgive themselves.
